Tips & Tricks to help prepare those meals for the kids at school
HOT LUNCH SURVIVAL INFO:
There are 60 students and 10 teachers and there are always parents that show up. The teenage boys eat a ton!! Cook for 90!!!
Lunch starts at 11:45.
If you're cooking at home and bringing to the school, show up 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to serving of lunch. ( It takes a while to set up)
Make lemonade in 5 gallon container or set out juice or milk.
Set up your meal on long tables, (lunch is served buffet style)
One of the upper school houses will be in the kitchen when lunch starts to help you serve and clean up.
Please leave the kitchen clean upon leaving. Wash the dishes you may have used, wipe down tables or counter tops used, you get the idea.
Take a deep breath! You did it! Thank you for your service!

I have a large roasting pan anyone can borrow if they need one for hot lunch.
I usually make penne pasta with chicken and Alfredo sauce or tacos. They are fairly easy and the kids seem to like them. Simple is best. Not too much spice.
Call me if you or anyone has any questions. I love making hot lunch.
The kids are always appreciative and they like getting something different every Friday.
I always make everything at home and bring it in.
We do have a stove at the school now so parents can cook there of keep things warm.
Also I have bought pizza (Pizza Hut or Stageline) It is easy and the cost is not that much more than buying all the stuff and making it. Also there is NO prep time and minimal clean up and the kids LOVE it.
