Hot Lunch Program

Dear MVCA Parents,

     This year we are instituting a new hot lunch policy. Get everyone involved!! In years past we have run into some problems getting more than a few families involved in this amazing ministry. So this year we have signed you up for 2 Fridays of service. That is right! Only two!!!! One Friday you will cook and serve hot lunch. The next Friday you will only have dessert to bring!!! No clean up, or serving, just dessert. Amazing isn’t it?!!! The parent who has hot lunch for the week will serve the kids and the parent who has dessert just drops it off in the morning. The upper school will also be helping during the hot lunches so set up and clean up will be a cinch!!! And please don’t forget that all time spent on meals will count towards your PIP hours.

     But wait you say!!!! I can’t afford to help out! That is just way too much money!! Let me just stop you there, and say ANY family who is unable to afford this ministry can drop his or her receipts for the meal off at the school office for a full reimbursement. You may also say, “What if I can’t cook the Friday I am signed up for?” Any parent who is unable to fulfill his/her Friday can contact any one on the phone list to either switch dates or cook for him/her.

     This year we have 59 students enrolled at MVCA and 10 teachers. For your convenience, we will be posting helpful hints for you to cook for 70 people on our website.
